Truth is, there’s a lot of shitty creative out there. Like, a laptop-slamming, channel-changing, profanity-inducing amount. Reason being, brands are relying more on people who can type, and less on people who can talk. Don’t get me wrong, I love typing—it’s how I make a living—but your brand needs to resonate with people, and people talk.

That’s why I write exactly how I talk—with my hands, at a high volume, and with far more 90’s movie references than most would deem necessary. Storytelling isn’t a grocery list, it’s an interaction. Rather than speaking at someone, good brands speak with them, creating moments of open dialogue that people can experience through their own lens.
